MADE IN BED proudly introduces our newest Reviews Co-Editor, Nicole John!
American-born, Singapore-bred and English-educated, Nicole identifies as a third-culture kid, having lived across multiple continents before attending boarding school in Kent at the age of 10. She completed her undergraduate degree in Law at King’s College London, working for a few years for a dynamic service-industry start-up as a Human Resources Associate before reconnecting with her passion for the arts and enrolling at Sotheby’s Institute of Art to undertake her MA in Art Business.
Art has been a consistent passion throughout her journey, taking Art & Design at school, culminating in an exhibition of her artwork at the OXO Towers in London in 2018. Her favourite gallery is the Pompidou in Paris, playing in to her interest in contemporary art. In her free time, Nicole enjoys reading up on art history as well as reading more generally, with a particular niche in Russian and Czech authors. She is also developing her language skills in French and Russian, carrying on from her foundational studies in both languages from her early school years.
As a business student looking to learn more about art as opposed to an art student looking to learn more about business, Nicole joined MADE IN BED as a way to develop her artistic sensibilities and personal tastes while getting involved in creative culture.
