MADE IN BED proudly introduces our newest Interviews Co-Editor, Kiah M. Sandler!
Kiah M. Sandler (she/ella) is a Queer Afro-Latina American who has always loved the arts. She is currently a MA student in the Fine and Decorative Arts & Design program at Sotheby's Institute of Art. Kiah is originally from New Jersey in the US, attended DePaul University in Chicago and continued to live there for 10 years before moving to London in the fall of 2024 to pursue her studies. She is pursuing this MA to grow her knowledge base within the art market and develop a larger international network. Prior to this degree, she has worked as a Development Manager in Chicago, IL for a voting rights nonprofit, as well as an educator to high school students and adults in incarcerated spaces. Kiah is passionate about communication, advocacy and community. Her dream is to always create opportunities for young artists from the same marginalized communities as her, whose voices may otherwise be overlooked in the mainstream. In 2024 she launched her page, For Arts Sake (@4.artsake) to share her experiences and acquisitions as a collector, curator and blogger. Kiah's intention with this platform is to utilize her unique perspective to present the world of fine art and cross-collecting as more accessible for your average person.
