About
Noj Barker’s unique patterns are transported into various forms of art that merge together to create a World of Dots. If you look through a microscope a new reality is revealed before your eyes, just as Noj’s immersive paintings, the closer you look, the more details draw you into his unending field of dots. Through his art, Noj unravels his hidden layers of vibrating spots of colour one layer after another. There is a rhythm to his process – it’s a hypnotic dance, that demands attention with both random order and striking precision. To watch him paint, at his English countryside studio, placing each dot after another until they unify into symphony of colour is truly mesmerising. Each dot is a static notation that captures a movement from transient nature of his mind. His work is truly obsessive, relentless, and indeed, it is beautiful.
