MADE IN BED proudly introduces our newest Emerging Artists Co-Editor, Catharina Benigni!
She was born and raised in London by two German parents but would still consider herself a Londoner at heart. Her love for the city was infused with visits to art galleries and exhibitions from a young age. This love for art was constantly being practiced through her own paintings as she would find herself staying up all night as a child creating artworks for herself and her family. Ina graduated from the University of Leeds with a BA in Liberal Arts and is now enrolled on the MA program in Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art.
Having completed an art foundation in London before university, the journey of an artist into the art world became a catalyst for her passion for supporting young talents. The harsh realities and contradictions between artistic creativity and reproducing for the industry make this particularly hard to navigate as emerging artists are lost or pushed behind the big names and dominating galleries. This has led her to become enthusiastic about discovering underrepresented artists and therefore becoming an editor for MADE IN BED.
